Factpage, Inc. (doing business as FactPage) operates an AI-powered web platform that creates source-backed public verification receipts and related claim-review tools. This policy applies to factpage.ai and the services that link to it.
1. Scope and company
Factpage, Inc. is a Delaware corporation. In this policy, “FactPage,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Factpage, Inc. This policy covers information processed through our website, accounts, claim checks, public receipts, appeal-triage tools, support, and related services.
This policy does not govern third-party websites, source pages, payment pages, or services that have their own privacy policies.
2. Information we collect
Content you submit
Claims, source links, counter-check material, prompts, appeal context, situation and evidence selections, and messages you send to us.
Account and contact data
Email address, name or profile details supplied through sign-in, account and workspace records, and support communications.
Payment data
Product, amount, payment status, and Stripe checkout or payment identifiers. Stripe processes payment credentials; we do not receive full card numbers.
Usage and technical data
Pages viewed, receipt views or share actions, feature interactions, referral information, and ordinary device, browser, network, cookie, and server-log data.
We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use the service, from sign-in and payment providers, and from public sources used to research a claim.
3. How we use information
We use information as reasonably necessary to:
- provide, generate, save, publish, search, and share FactPage receipts and related tools;
- research claims, retrieve sources, and produce AI-assisted analysis and response text;
- create and secure accounts, deliver magic links, and authenticate sign-ins;
- process payments, confirm fulfillment, prevent duplicate charges, and handle support;
- measure usage, maintain receipt engagement counts, troubleshoot, and improve reliability;
- detect fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms;
- communicate about requests, service changes, and administrative matters; and
- comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect users, FactPage, and others.
Where required, we rely on consent. We may also process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, and pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the service, subject to applicable law.
4. Public receipts
FactPage is designed to create public, shareable records. When a receipt is generated for publication, its claim, verdict, score, reasoning, source trail, response text, URL, and related receipt information may be visible to anyone, indexed by search engines, copied, quoted, or shared by other people.
Do not submit confidential information, private identifying details, student IDs, health or financial records, or content you are not authorized to publish in a claim intended for a public receipt.
If onchain sealing is enabled for a receipt, a content fingerprint and timestamp may be recorded on a public blockchain. The readable claim and sources remain offchain, but blockchain records are public and generally cannot be deleted.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:
- AI, search, and source services that help analyze submitted claims, retrieve public sources, and generate receipt content. Depending on availability and configuration, these may include OpenAI, Google AI services, and a web-search provider.
- Payments, including Stripe, which receives the information needed to host checkout, process payment, prevent fraud, and confirm payment status.
- Authentication, email, and analytics providers, such as Google for optional sign-in and analytics, and an email delivery provider for magic-link and service messages.
- Hosting, database, security, and infrastructure providers that run and protect the service.
- Public networks and audiences when you use a public receipt, sharing, or optional onchain feature.
- Authorities, advisers, and transaction parties when required by law, needed to protect rights and safety, or connected with a financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some jurisdictions define targeted advertising or certain analytics disclosures as a “sale,” “sharing,” or targeted advertising; where those laws apply, you may exercise the relevant choices described below.
6. Cookies and analytics
FactPage uses essential cookies or similar storage for sessions, security, OAuth state, and other requested functionality. These are needed for features such as staying signed in and completing a secure authentication flow.
When enabled on a deployment, Google Analytics helps us understand page views and feature events. Analytics may receive page paths, interaction details, and device or network information under its own terms. Stripe may also use cookies and similar technologies on its hosted checkout pages. Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although essential features may then stop working.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account and receipt history, complete payments, resolve disputes, secure the platform, enforce agreements, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and compliance obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and context.
Public receipts are intended to be stable records and may remain available longer than account or support data. Search engines, archives, recipients, or other third parties may keep copies after we remove a page. Public blockchain entries cannot ordinarily be erased, although we may be able to remove the corresponding content from our service where appropriate.
You may request deletion by emailing us. We may verify the request and retain limited information where required by law or necessary for fraud prevention, payment records, security, disputes, or other permitted purposes.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising; and appeal a decision about a request.
To make a request, email stevechoi@factpage.ai and describe the request and the email or receipt URL involved. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and authority. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable rights.
9. International transfers
Factpage, Inc. is a United States company, and we and our providers may process information in the United States, South Korea, and other countries where we or they operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use contractual or other lawful safeguards for cross-border transfers.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No transmission, storage system, or security control is guaranteed to be completely secure. Protect your sign-in links and devices, and notify us if you believe an account or receipt has been accessed improperly.
11. Children
FactPage is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate. Users who are minors where they live should use FactPage only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian when required.
12. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
