These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Factpage, Inc., a Delaware corporation that operates the FactPage brand and service. By accessing or using FactPage, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Agreement and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use FactPage. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you use FactPage for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service. Additional terms shown for a particular feature or checkout are part of these Terms for that feature.

2. The FactPage service

FactPage is AI-powered web software that can turn a submitted claim into a source-backed public verification receipt. A receipt may include a verdict, score, summary, reasoning, source trail, copy-ready response text, public URL, and content fingerprint. We may also offer claim-search, counter-check, appeal-triage, account, and receipt-saving tools.

Features may be experimental, unavailable in some locations, or changed over time. FactPage does not promise that every submitted claim can be checked, that every source will remain available, or that every feature will be offered indefinitely.

3. Accounts and security

An account is not required for every feature or checkout, but may be required to save or manage receipts. You must provide accurate information, keep sign-in links and devices secure, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account to the extent permitted by law.

4. Submissions and public receipts

You retain any rights you have in content you submit. You grant Factpage, Inc. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, process, adapt, display, publish, and distribute that content as needed to operate FactPage, generate the requested output, maintain a public receipt, provide support, and secure the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content and allow this use. Do not submit confidential information, personal identifiers, private records, or material that you are not authorized to make public.

Paid receipts are public by design. Their claim, result, reasoning, sources, response text, and URL may be indexed, copied, quoted, or reshared by anyone.

If a receipt is sealed on a public blockchain, the content fingerprint and timestamp may be permanent even if the corresponding FactPage page is later changed or removed.

5. Prices and payment

FactPage currently offers an individual proof-receipt checkout for US$0.99. This is a one-time payment for the specific claim check shown at checkout, not a recurring subscription. We may change pricing or introduce other paid features. The product, final price, currency, taxes, and payment terms displayed at checkout control for that transaction.

Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. You authorize the provider to charge the selected payment method and share payment status and transaction identifiers with us. You are responsible for applicable taxes, fees, and accurate billing information. We do not guarantee that every payment method is available in every location.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can leave checkout before completing payment. After payment, generation may begin immediately and cannot always be canceled. Because a proof receipt is a digital service made for a submitted claim, a completed payment is generally final once the receipt has been generated or made available, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

If you were charged more than once, paid but did not receive the service, or experienced a material technical failure, email stevechoi@factpage.ai. We will review the payment and service status and provide an appropriate remedy, which may include retrying generation, correcting access, or issuing a refund. This section does not limit mandatory consumer cancellation or refund rights.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use FactPage to:

  • break the law, violate another person's rights, or encourage unlawful conduct;
  • publish private, confidential, defamatory, deceptive, or unlawfully obtained material;
  • harass, threaten, dox, impersonate, discriminate against, or endanger another person;
  • submit malicious code or attempt to disrupt, probe, overload, or bypass service security;
  • scrape or automate access in a way that burdens the service or evades technical limits;
  • misrepresent an AI-assisted receipt as an official government, court, academic, or expert ruling;
  • remove or obscure branding, provenance, source, or integrity information from a receipt; or
  • use the service or its output to make high-impact decisions about another person without appropriate human review and an independent factual basis.

You are responsible for the claims you submit, how you use or share a receipt, and independently checking whether your use is lawful and appropriate.

8. AI and service limits

FactPage uses automated systems, AI models, search results, and third-party sources. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, or unsuitable for your situation. Sources can change, disappear, or be misunderstood. A receipt is not a guarantee of truth and does not prove that a claim is correct merely because it has a public URL or content fingerprint.

Inspect the cited sources and use independent judgment before relying on or sharing an output. FactPage does not provide legal, medical, financial, academic-disciplinary, safety, or other professional advice. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a consequential decision.

9. Intellectual property

FactPage and its software, interface, design, branding, logos, and other service materials are owned by Factpage, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to access the service and use, copy, and share a FactPage-generated receipt for personal or business communication. Source materials and linked content remain subject to their owners' rights and terms. Feedback you voluntarily provide may be used without restriction or compensation.

10. Third-party services and links

FactPage may use or link to third-party payment, authentication, AI, search, analytics, email, hosting, blockchain, and source services. We do not control third-party content, availability, security, or policies. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.

11. Service changes and termination

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, nonpayment, abuse, or a violation of these Terms. Where practical, we will try to provide notice of material changes or termination.

We may update these Terms by posting a revised version and effective date. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them to the extent permitted by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including payment, public-content licenses, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law—will survive.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FactPage is provided “as is” and “as available.” Factpage, Inc. disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that outputs or sources will be correct, complete, current, secure, or suitable for your purpose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions apply only to the extent permitted, and mandatory consumer warranties remain unaffected.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Factpage, Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to FactPage.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, their total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or related to the service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid Factpage, Inc. for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited, including any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with jurisdiction in Delaware may hear disputes, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring or defend a claim in another forum. Nothing in these Terms deprives a consumer of mandatory protections under the law of their place of residence.

If any provision is unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of the Terms will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and any feature-specific terms are the entire agreement concerning the service.
